Poems Torn From Life by Uri Hertz

This is the latest collection by Uri Hertz, poet, essayist, critic, and editor of the legendary international literary and arts journal, Third Rail, from 1975-89. The poems are selected from Hertz's writing of the past three decades. Memory, time, cities, nature, people, relationships and the conjunction between personal and cultural history are primary motifs woven through this collection. Inner Cities (Third Rail) --a CD with performances of several poems from this selection by the poet with jazz accompaniment --is available at Uri Hertz's lively website www.literatureandarts.com (the online continuation of Third Rail).
