Glass Wind

Produced for highmoonoon by John Solt.

This video introduces the only remaining 8mm work by noted photographers/poets Yamamoto Kansuke (1914-87; also Kanyu) and Kitasono Katue (1912-78; also Katsue; called Kit Kat by Ezra Pound), both active members of the VOU club (1936-78, except 1940-45).

Included is an exclusive photo session of Ohno Kazuo (1906- ), butoh legend, on his 1993 U.S.A. tour, filmed by Laura Davidson. Graphic design by Yamaguchi Kenjiro. Kansuke's photographer is unidentified. The Kitasono Katue photograph is by Fujitomi Yasuo. Photos of Ohno Kazuo are by Frank Ward from the filmed session. Archival footage. Black and white/ silent.
